Backpacks and Safety

Backpack Facts: More than 40 million students in the United States carry backpacks.

It is recommended that a loaded backpack weigh no more than 15% of a students weight.

Backpacks should be positioned lower so it approximates the body's center of gravity and has the least impact on posture.
