2013 Hot Halloween Costumes for Kids

Even though it is just July, Halloween will be upon us before we know it.  The crisp feeling in the air, the leaves turning brilliant shades of orange, red and yellow and the jack'o lanterns that will begin to light up the porches.  Children from toddlers to teens will be excited at the prospect of becoming their favorite character for trick or treat or a fun Halloween party. 

 

I can remember from my childhood the excitement of choosing just the right costume.  In those days it was usually a gypsy, a witch or one of those famous Universal monsters.  But these days kids have a plethora of costumes from which to choose.  They can become their favorite movie character, cartoon hero, tv star or comic book character.

 

So today we will display some of the hottest costumes for this Halloween.  From monsters to princesses, we have them all.  See if one of them excites your little trick or treater. Grab them early to be sure your favorite is available.

 

1. Monster High-The ghosts and ghouls of Monster High continue to be girl's favorites.  These characters are all sons and daughters of famous classic monsters.  They all have their own style and unique personality.  Monster High cartoons are very popular this year.  Check out the Monster High costumes.

3. Superman-The man of steel is hot this year.  Superman is the perfect hero costume for adventurous boys this Halloween. 



4. Disney's Sofia the First-These are some of the cutest costumes we have come across for 2013.  Sofia is Disney's newest little princess.  Sofia becomes a princess when her mother marries the king.  The costume below is Sofia's Princess Dress.



5. Oz the Great and Powerful- This prequel to the Wizard of Oz was a hit for Disney this summer.  This movie showed us how the wicked witch came to be wicked.  Below is Good Witch Glinda's Costume.  It is an authentic Disney Costume with beautiful brocade and gem stones.

WHO DOESN'T LOVE HORSES?

 

I might be showing my age a bit but I remember watching Roy Rogers on Saturday afternoons and wishing I had a horse likeTrigger.  What a beautiful Palomino! 

The best summer of my childhood was when my Granddad came home with a Shetland Pony in the trailer.  His name was Ike and he was an ornery old pony.  His favorite thing was to head straight for a tree to see if he could knock you off on your rear.  He didn't take to being rode very well.  But my sister and I loved him anyway. 

Not only did we love our real pony but we loved playing with toy horses.  And now that we have online stores we love selling toy horses!  Every time we send one out we say a little prayer that whoever receives it enjoys it as much as we enjoyed our toy horses. 

So if you want to share some horse love with someone or maybe you just like collecting horses yourself, we have some great ones!

First we have this retired Disney Store Exclusive Finding Nemo Lamp. The lamp features characters Nemo and Marlin and lots of colorful coral.  Its a hard to find item at a great price.
